In the beginning, there was an idea.
Brought to life by work.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The idea of creating a Bioregion in the Gauja National Park was conceived by the GreenFest - a group of young, educated people for whom sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a belief in far-sighted and prosperous farming in harmony with nature. The idea of a Bioregion has been developed in conversations with various partners since 2018, but the real turning point was the discussion \"GNP - the first Bioregion in Latvia. What kind of world will we leave for future generations?\" at the 2022 GreenFest event in Valmiermui\u017ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to get something done \u2013 one must do. The discussion set off a chain of important tasks, including the creation of the Memorandum on Good Will for the creation of a Bioregion in Gauja National Park. The work accomplished culminated in the First Bioregion Forum in 2023, when 13 institutional partners signed the memorandum in a solemn ceremony. Since the, the Bioregion is carried on through the initiatives, implemented by the founders of the Bioregion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
